The inaugural Roars & Pours wine sampling event at Brookfield Zoo will be on Saturday, May 18, 2019. This event for adults (twenty-one-years-of-age and over) exclusively will be an opportunity to sample wines from around the world from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests can view their favorite animals and blooming flowers before ambling over to the pavilions to sample over thirty wines. There will be opportunities to have up-close experiences with several of the Brookfield Zoo’s “animal ambassadors.”
A $65 Roars & Pours – General Admission ticket covers all-day admission to the zoo (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.); parking; admission to Roars & Pours (4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.); samples of over forty wines and spirits; a commemorative tasting glass; and food available for purchase. [Note there is a $5.17 fee.] A $45 Roars & Pours – Designated Driver ticket cover all-day admission to the zoo (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.); parking; admission to Roars & Pours (4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.); soft drinks; and food available for purchase. The C.Z.S. is a private, non-profit organization that operates Brookfield Zoo on property that belongs to the Forest Preserves of Cook County (formerly called the Forest Preserve District of Cook County). The address of the South Gate Main Entrance is 3300 Golf Road, Brookfield, Illinois 60513. This is west of Riverside Brookfield High School. It is within walking distance of the Hollywood Stop on the Metra’s B.N.S.F. Railway, which runs between Chicago and Aurora.
