Lights & Lagers at Brookfield Zoo will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This is chance for full adults (twenty-one years of age and older) to walk around the Brookfield Zoo grounds when they are illuminated by over 1,000,0000 L.E.D. lights for the 38th annual Holiday Magic festival while sampling beers, listening to music a D.J. plays in the Holly Jolly Theater, and seeing Animal Ambassadors up close.
There will be a total of six tasting stations located throughout the zoo grounds. These will be Seven Seas Underwater Viewing, ITW Room at Bramsen Animal Ambassador Building, Great Bear Wilderness Underwater Viewing, Feathers & Scales, The Swamp, and the Holly Jolly Theater. These tasting stations will be staffed by representatives from breweries including Kinslahger Brewing Company, Finch Beer Co., Ballast Point Chicago, Rogue Ales, Leinenkugel’s, Blue Moon Brewing Co., Mike’s Hard Lemonade, New Belgium Brewing Company, The Boston Beer Company, Revolution Brewing, Brickstone Brewery Company, Noon Whistle Brewing. The beer selection, as of now, is Adams Street Brewery, Boston Beer, Brickstone, Constellation/Ballast Point, Finch Beer, Kinslahger Brewing, Mikes Hard Lemonade, MillerCoors, Motor Row Brewing, New Belgium, Noon Whistle, Revolution, Rogue Brewing, and Tangled Roots Brewing. In addition, three restaurants will be open: Café del Sol, BZ Red Hots, and the Swan Pavilion at Holly Jolly Theatre.
A ticket covers admission to the Lights & Lagers event, three-ounce samplings from participating breweries, and a commemorative light-up tasting cup. All ticketholders must be twenty-one or over. A photo identification card proving one’s age is a prerequisite for entry. All guests must enter through the North Gate parking lot. Registration is required. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds will be made.
Lights & Lagers will take place regardless of weather conditions, come rain or snow. The weather forecast is currently for the temperatures range to be somewhere between 28°F and 36°F, so dress appropriately.
Tickets for participants (Lights & Lagers Admission) are $45 and tickets for designated drivers (Designated Driver Admission – Lights & Lager) are $35, plus fees.
