“Marvel Exhibit in Its Final Days at Museum of Science & Industry”

The traveling exhibit Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes is in its final weeks at the Museum of Science and Industry as it closes Sunday, October 24, A.D. 2021.  Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes consists of over 300 artifacts, artworks, and archival documents from the history of Marvel Comics; costumes and props from movies and Netflix streaming series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; and sculptures that depict Marvel superheroes.  It requires a separate, timed-entry ticket.  As of this writing, tickets are still available for Tuesday, October 19, A.D. 2021; Wednesday, October 20, A.D. 2021; and Thursday, October 21, A.D. 2021.  Please note that the final three days (Friday, October 22, A.D. 20221; Saturday, October 23, A.D. 2021; and Sunday, October 24, A.D. 2021) are sold out.  Daytime tickets cost $18 for adults, $14 for children ages three-to-eleven, and $9 for Members.  Evening tickets are available for a single date: Thursday, October 21, A.D. 2021.  Evening tickets are $35 for adults, $20 for children, and $20 for Members.  Note that evening tickets cover admission to this exhibit alone when the rest of the Museum is closed.  Click here to purchase tickets.  SC Exhibitions, the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), and Marvel Themed Entertainment organized Marvel Universe of Super Heroes.  BMH Harris Bank is sponsoring its presentation at the M.S.I.

Currently, the M.S.I. is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Please note the Coal Mine and U-505 On-Board Tour remain closed.  One can walk around the U-505, but not through her.

The Museum of Science and Industry was formerly open every day of the year with the single exception of Christmas Day/the First Day of Christmas.  [This year, that is Saturday, December 25, A.D. 2021.]  Nowadays, it is also closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 25, A.D. 2021).  Further, currently the Museum of Science and Industry is closed on Mondays.  Friday, October 29, A.D. 2021 is a Members Day, meaning it will be open for Members only, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The food court and the coffee shop on the Lower Level (ground floor) in the Central Pavilion’s Lower Court, are closed.  The Museum Kitchen will open in 2022.  Meanwhile, a new restaurant, the Museum Parke Café, with outdoor seating in Beaver Park, on the Lower Level, between the Henry Crown Space Center and the East Pavilion, is open from 10:30 a.m. until one hour before the M.S.I. closes.  Finnigan’s Sandwich Shoppe, off Yesterday’s Main Street, on the Main Level, in the Central Pavilion, is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. until one hour before the M.S.I. closes.  Visitors who bring their own lunches can eat them in a tent outside the South Portico (behind the Coal Mine) of the Central Pavilion, in a designated area outside the Ships Gallery, and in the Lower Court.
